Program Description: The basic certificate introduces IFTCC Learning’s 3 main goals for preparing scholars and researchers for academic inquiry and analysis from a biblical worldview. The Research Basic Certificate includes a broad range of topics providing essential knowledge for preparing researchers for ethical and informed practice through cognition, criticality, and creativity.
IFTCC Learning Competencies:
- Cognition Learning Goals: Participants will be able to evaluate methodologies of research projects and scholarship initiatives for validity and reliability
- A1 Introduction to Research Quantitative and Qualitative Methodologies: Workshops, seminars, and presentations at the basic level will model research projects and presentations of both quantitative and qualitative approaches to research.
- Criticality Learning Goals: Participants will use insight from historical awareness, ideological diversity, and comparative reading to assess the usefulness of arguments and research design.
- A2 Developing insight: Workshops, seminars, and presentations at the basic level assist learners to understand the focus or the scope of field being examined so that the limitation of any study and presentation is manifest to them.
- Creativity Learning Goals: Participants will be able to apply research methodologies to construct effective arguments.
- A3 Critical skills and Creativity: Workshops, seminars, and presentations at the basic level that model and reflect creativity of approach, research design, or interpretation of data.
