Session 47 – When State Laws and Moral Principles Collide: How to Effectively Respond to Conversion Therapy Laws

In this talk, I speak about the conflict and tension which arises when laws and policies come into conflict with specific religious beliefs or moral values. It takes “conversion therapy” laws, hate speech laws and school policies on comprehensive sex education as case studies to discuss the problems with such regulation and how one could affectively respond to it.
