About Course

In this lesson, Michael Gasparro will go through why those struggling with Same-Sex Attraction (SSA) seek therapy, and the approaches counsellors may take in order to serve their client. This will include descriptions of the theory of emotional health, the importance of assessing for OCD, the therapeutic alliance, mindfulness in therapy, cognitive and behavioural therapy, the Reintegrative Protocol, and the trauma-based addictive behaviour model.

  • 1. State why some clients struggling with same-sex attraction (SSA) may seek therapy
  • 2. Give a summary of the theory of emotional health
  • 3. State the importance of assessing a client for OCD, and describe how the assessment is conducted
