About Course

In this lesson, Dr Ann Gillies speaks about the assumptions and academic biases surrounding the topic of sexual orientation change efforts (SOCE), and corrects the false narratives formed because of this using scientific data. She also speaks about Canada’s ‘Conversion Therapy’ Ban, the implications of it, and some advice for Christians on pushing against it and maintaining religious and therapeutic freedoms.

  • 1. State the 2 assumptions that pro-LGBT researchers make regarding sexual orientation change efforts (SOCE)
  • 2. Describe 3 studies which prove that sexual orientation change efforts (SOCE) are not harmful, and explain why

  • 4. List some suggestions Dr Ann makes to Christians, councillors, people concerned about the passing of Federal Bill C6
