The debate about homosexuality is often heated.
Richard does not want to heat up the discussion further, but simply tells the story of the reality of God in a person’s life.
God’s work in the life of Richard was both deep and radical, delivering him from the gay lifestyle. This fact in itself may be offensive to some, but God’s testimony cannot be ignored.
Through receiving professional counseling he got in touch with the roots of his wounds of rejection and low self esteem and the results of being confronted with pornography at a young age.
Inner healing, empowered by the Holy Spirit, took place and, to his own surprise, he started developing feelings for women, which led him into a relationship with the woman he has now been married with for 23 years.
Richard’s motivation in coming out with his story is his deep conviction that he has a precious message of hope to share.
Jesus Christ filled up a longing that nothing else could satisfy.
God healed the sexual brokenness that had enslaved him in addictive behavior and gave him his true identity as a man and child of God.
