This course equips pastoral care workers to identify and resist cultural influences that conflict with biblical truth—especially in the realm of LGBT issues. Focusing on Eastern and Western cultural paradigms, participants will explore how these frameworks affect discussions of sexual ethics, church dynamics, and pastoral care. Through this course, pastoral care workers will develop context-specific strategies to uphold an uncompromising biblical worldview in ministry. Emphasis is placed on self-awareness, accountability, and culturally informed pastoral practise that remains faithful to Scripture.

This course fulfills the following learning goals:

  1. Analyse how the cultural paradigms shape pastoral care approaches regarding LGBT issues.
  2. Apply reflective practices to resist secular pressures and ensure that pastoral care remains rooted in biblical truth.
  3. Formulate and implement practical, biblical strategies tailored to the unique challenges presented by unique cultural frameworks.
  4. Develop a ministry plan that steadfastly upholds Scripture amid both Eastern and Western cultural pressures.
