Christian clinical counsellors work at the intersection of biblical conviction and professional regulation. This course equips you with foundational knowledge of professional identity, ethical obligations, therapeutic alliance principles, and church
collaboration. It develops humility in partnership with churches, discernment in counselling, and integrity in ethical practice, aligning with IFTCC Clinical Competencies A4–A6. By the end, you will be prepared to honour both your clients’ autonomy and your own faith convictions, collaborating ethically with churches and embodying the unique calling of the Christian clinical counsellor.

This course fulfills the following learning goals:

1. Distinguish between pastoral, lay, biblical, and clinical counselling models, articulating the unique contribution of clinically trained Christian counsellors (IFTCC A6).
2. Identify core professional ethical standards governing clinical counselling (IFTCC A5).
3. Demonstrate skill in forming therapeutic alliances that integrate biblical fidelity, clinical ethics, and client-centred approaches (IFTCC A5)
4. Explain appropriate church–clinic collaboration and boundary clarity (IFTCC A5, A6).
