In this lesson, Professor Paul Sullins raises awareness of the bias in surveys reporting on the wellbeing and academic achievement of children with same-sex parents and gives evidence of the harms same-sex parenting can have on children, and the disadvantages these children may experience over children brought up with their two biological parents.

Proposed Learning Objectives

  • 1. State some statistics proving the harm of same-sex parenting on children over others
  • 2. Identify the reasons why children of same-sex couples may be more intelligent
  • 3. List some ways in which children growing up with same-sex couples are at a disadvantage when it comes to forming their own relationships growing up.
